Moraine Lake

On to nearby Moraine Lake.
This site has been on more calendars than the Mabry Mill photo!
I wish the sun would have been out.
You know you're in for quite a view before you leave the parking lot...


There is a short hike to the "rock pile", a vantage point to see over the buildings below.

Then you pass the "Tower of Babel", a popular climbing location.



Finally you reach the view you've been looking forward to:




At Banff, I took this shot of Mt. Rundle, the trademark mountain of Banff.




Then, the mountains just wouldn't quit as I left Banff:
