Quotes of the day

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.
- Helen Keller

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
but I have promises to keep,
and miles to go before I sleep.
- Robert Frost

Dawson

Campsite in Dawson:

There was a crow near the campsite that had the loudest mouth I've ever heard in a bird. While I was setting up camp, he was in a tree right across the street. The next morning I captured some of his noise, but in the video, he is across the lot on the roof of the dark building in the center:

Downtown Dawson:

I changed plans about my route to Fort Nelson, BC when I looked at a different map and saw that I was about to take another gravel road. A 500 mile long gravel road.

I decided to find a campsite before getting to Whitehorse, since the clouds were looking darker the farther I went. I was fortunate to set up camp just before the rain started. So that's the disadvantage of skipping lunch. If you don't make it to a town before camping, you get to enjoy a protein bar and trail mix for dinner! :-)
Life is good.
