Sorry - these posts are out of order.
It should be:
1. Yukon river bridge
2. Arctic Circle
3. Coldfoot
4. Atigun Pass
5. Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay)
Trying to juggle photo uploads, blog updates, battery charging, memory chip clearing, etc.
I'll handle proofreading later when I don't have to worry about batteries going dead.

Now:
I was going to camp at Coldfoot, but I realized I wasn't going to arrive there until midnight, so I decided to "free camp" at the Arctic Circle wayside. Campsites are 1/2 mile up the hill behind the sign.
It was amazingly mild. This photo was at 11:15 pm, and it was 60 degrees.
I awoke before 5:00 as usual, and didn't get up immediately. After 10 minutes I heard the familiar sound of a light sprinkle on the tent.
Oh, GREAT.
Now I'll have to pack away a damp tent.
Then it turned into a heavy sprinkle, and then a heavy downpour.
Then I realized that this 18-year old waterproof tent... isn't.
Well, the floor isn't.
So I packed up all the wet gear (at least the air mattress kept the sleeping bag dry), and dumped the water out of the tent, and tied it all down on the bike.
Northward!
Good morning brother, you are doing great, get your rest. I have four co workers watching your ride ,they all think it is good, but they would not do it in a car. Don
