Most of the way across the state was rain and fog. Temps went from 60 to 50. So I decided to camp in a motel to dry out a bit. 42 and clear now. I think I just heard the weather channel say snow in Montana.
This blog was created to provide a record of my motorcycle camping trip to Alaska. Hope you enjoy it. Departing Raleigh, NC on May 25, 2012.
Quotes of the day
Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.
- Helen Keller
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
but I have promises to keep,
and miles to go before I sleep.

The video in SD--looks like the bugs aim for the same spots on your windscreen as on mine.
ReplyDeleteGood going, Rick. Enjoying your journey, hope you are too. Today should see you to or through Glacier. Great riding there!
He wont make Glacier today, mabey tonight, late if rick dosn't stop. he is still about 450 miles out
DeleteAnon--I was misreading, assuming he was starting today from Greycliff, MT. After I looked at his Spot Track I realize he'll probably camp at or near Missoula tonight. Good not to ride the Swan Valley in the dark, 93 from Missoula to Kalispell isn't much better for wood rats after dark. The first view of Flathead Lake in the early morning is worth getting up early to ride for though.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, Rick.
