Quotes of the day

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.
- Helen Keller

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
but I have promises to keep,
and miles to go before I sleep.
- Robert Frost

Back in the U.S.

Crossed the border for the last time.

Canada has been grand, but once you set your sights on home, it feels good to see familiar things:

Dollars are green.
Gas is sold by the gallon.
Speed limits are in big ol' American MILES.
The gas pumps accept my plastic...

Canadian credit cards have an additional chip in them, and the gas pumps require it. No chip = pay inside.

And when Canadians come to the US, they have a similar problem. American gas pumps ask for a ZIP Code, which doesn't exist outside the US.

Obama needs to sort this out. :-)
