Weird weather

I'm planning to camp one night in Custer, SD, so I started looking at weather forecasts along the route.
Here's what I found for Friday's high temperature (degrees F):

Nashville, TN - 92
Kansas City, MO - 88
Custer, SD - 43    (plus rain and 14 mph wind)
Fairbanks, AK - 66

Alaskans have to dig out their heavy clothes just to come to Mt. Rushmore!

    Robert Frost is good but you're riding into Robert Service country. His stuff makes good camp reading.

    When it rains at night in camp you can fret over packing up a wet tent in the morning or enjoy the free bike wash while you sleep service.
